I wept.

MedEvac is a reverent reflection on the gospel’s whisperings to those who are weary to relinquish their burdens. It explores the death of a son, combat in Afghanistan, divorce, and the devastating effects of alcoholism, begging, “Do you even wish to get well?” With disarming honesty, MedEvac plunges the reader into the depths of hell, pressing forward, one foot in front of the other, and surfaces again with an invitation to begin anew. Meditative and revelatory, MedEvac is rich and deep enough to satisfy even the most experienced poetry reader.
